We're part of your dental team.  Your general dentist has referred you to us because he or she sincerely believes that your present condition requires the service of a specialist.  We are an extension of your dentist's skill, care, and judgment.  We offer expert endodontic care and we are specially trained to provide root canal therapy.  It is understandable that you may be apprehensive about seeing someone other than your dentist.  Let us assure you that should our evaluation indicate that root canal treatment will be of no benefit to you, we will openly advise you of this.

• Proper diagnosis often requires Dr. Merchant's expertise in endodontics.  Dr. Merchant believes that listening to the patient and discussing all options are imperative in diagnosis and treatment planning.  

• Cone Beam CT technology is sometimes required for a definitive diagnosis of some dental conditions.  This 3-D image allows us to see inside the tooth and surrounding tissues.

• All endodontic treatment is performed using a high-powered surgical operating microscope, providing the endodontist and assistant with commanding visual control in a remarkably precise manner previously unknown to endodontics. 

• We utilize digital dental imaging which minimizes the already low radiation required and improves diagnostic capabilities through image enhancement computer technology. 

• Our office adheres to standards of infection control in accordance with CDC and OSHA guidelines. Our sterilization equipment is monitored for 100% effectiveness.

• Our dental equipment utilizes self-contained water supplies and Sterilox technology capable of delivering bacteria-free, sterile water during all surgical and non-surgical procedures.

• Your situation and treatment needs will be thoroughly explained with digital radiographs, microscopic photographs, and any other aids necessary, so that you fully understand your needs prior to beginning treatment.

• Referring doctors have the ability to access radiographs and photographs of your treatment by a secure, web-based system.
